Hi Everyone,
I am thrilled to pieces because this morning I passed the Biology CLEP with only two days of study. I had NO base level background knowledge for biology. I crammed as much as possible in two days, knowing that this morning's exam was my last hurdle to clear before graduation.
I know I haven't been active on this forum, but it has been such a help to me in my pursuit of a BA. I will graduate next month from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I never could have passed the Spanish and Biology CLEPs without this forum.
If anyone is interested in my lengthy study guide or the titles of books I used to cram for Biology I would be happy to share.

I was so relieved. As I left I told the testing site coordinator, "See you later." Then I stopped and said, "Actually, no I won't see you again. This is my last exam and I graduate in less than a month!" He chuckled and wished me well.
I really, really wish I had known about CLEP earlier in my college career. It has a been a life (and bank account) saver.

Congratulations J. What a great feeling I am sure it is. I wish I could CLEP Biology but my school requires a lab with any of the science classes. I am always glad to hear of others success. Although we will never meet, it is like a tight knit little community on here. It is always good to join in someones success and to know you aren't alone when you fail. Once again, WAY TO GO!!!!!

Wow! That's amazing, passing Biology with only two days of study and no prior background, well done!
I remember I had to study for ages for that one, congratulations!

J,
Thanks for sending me your study notes. You must be a quick study (in addition to a nice guy) cause that's a lot of material.
Could you also post the books you used to study with?
Thanks!! And, congratulations. You must be feeling pretty great right about now.

Thanks for the kind words! I felt a lot of pressure to pass this exam. If I had failed it I would have needed to take a science course with lab over the summer. (I'm lucky to attend a university that awards lab credit for passing the biology CLEP.) Now I am counting down the days to graduation. Exactly one month from today I will finally have my BA.
Here are the books I used to prepare:
* Ace Your Midterms and Finals: Introduction to Biology by Alan Axelrod
* Biology Demystified by Dale Layman
* 11th Hour Series, Introduction to Biology by David L. Wilson
I got all of them from the public library. Good luck with your studies!

Thanks a lot, J. You've been really generous in posting all this info and I know that a lot of people on the forum have benefited.
So, now that the "dreaded" bachelors is behind you, what's next??

Graduate school for Library Science.
I'll have to make some adjustments to get back in the swing of things as an on campus student instead of an online one.
