I have had a bit of a journey trying to get my transcripts to WES for evaluation due to an Ontario College strike and my first request being "lost", it took over a month. Background, I have a 18 year old advance diploma in engineering technology (three year technology diploma) from an Ontario Community College and I am in the process to attempting to get credits toward a BSc at COSC (hopefully 87, leaving just gen eds to clep and dsst). (BTW in Canada universities hand out degrees--typically four year--and community colleges diplomas--either two or three year, with some exceptions on both).
WES finally received my transcripts Sept 23 (initial request was Aug 13), they indicated Sept 30 for evaluation but on the site it says they are preparing the final report today (Sept 26), one business day after receiving the transcripts! So either this is bad (very few if any credit) or hopefully good. Not much I can do but wait, the suspense is killing me.
Sorry, just had to vent to hopefully a sympathetic ear... Either-way I plan on giving a good rundown on what an Ontario Community College three year diploma is worth in the US, since after may searches I really turned up nada.
