I have three classes with them as well that I am emailing about pre-approval now. Strategic Management, Principles of Finance and International Business.

Those are my exact courses, I want to see what they say. Can't wait to get started if it is approved!

Principles of Finance and International Business should be fine, still get them planned into your degree though should they decide for some crazy reason to change acceptance of them. The issue has been with Strategic Mgmt. Hope it works out for you all!!

Any advice on who to email for pre approval? And also, should I copy and past the course and description from PF or should I send something from ACE? Usually when requesting approval for a course I just send course number and description, seems this is hard to find however on the PF course.

ETA: I don't think the other info, class number/description, is needed. I never included it and they are well aware of these classes.

Email sent, anxiously awaiting their response. If they deny the Strategic Management I'll reference saying I have a friend who has until July 1 to finish the course. Don't know how it will go with the email to advising as it might have to end up being routed to the Assistant Dean like someone mentioned, but maybe it pans out as I do not want to take the TECEP or the 12 week class unless it's my only option.

And the answer with the bad news as expected.
Both Penn Foster courses, Financial Management and International Business, are approved for your degree. They will transfer over as FIN-301 and MAN-371, respectively, and will satisfy degree requirements in the Core.
However, per a pending decision by the Provost's office, students are no longer permitted to complete the Strategic Management capstone course via external source. You must complete this requirement via our online course or exam option.
The Registrar's office is currently working on the update to your record with the most recently received ACE transcript. You will be notified via separate email when the review is complete.
Should you have additional questions, please create a new ticket by sending an email to [email protected] with your degree program in the subject line. Thank you.

I wonder if this point if I should go aesd and email the Assistant Dean of the business school stating nothing has been officially changed as of yet and that all of this is in limbo and that since I'm enrolled in the 2014-2015 catalog this shouldn't apply to me and also cite I know of friends who have until July 1st to complete the course.
