PierPont BOG A.A.S, Science and Math Class's
#1
Hey everyone, it’s been awhile since I’ve posted. During that time I have completed my CompTIA A+ and Security + certifications. My credits have also transferred in. I’m sitting at 62 credit hours which is great but I need a Science and Math class or two of each to fulfill the requirements.

What do you recommend to fulfill these classes? I’ve been looking at straighterline and study.com but am open to any others.

These are the types of class’s I can use according to PierPont
MATHEMATICS AND/OR SCIENCES:  MTH 1207, 1212; (Most college level math classes can count for this requirement. Please check with program coordinator) SCIE 1100, 1103, 1105, 1115, 1120; CHEM 1101, 1105; PHYS 1101; GEOL 1101

I’m not great at math or science class’s which is why I don’t have them. Any feedback on courses to take, what to expect would be appreciated.

Thank you!

The simplest math classes they will allow, from Shmoop or Study.com.

They will allow a combination of two math or sciences (so 2 maths, 2 sciences or one of each). I personally found the Astronomy DSST pretty easy after watching Crash Course Astronomy on Youtube. Then something like the Liberal Arts Math TECEP should be pretty straight forward. Two of anything that Ideas listed will work, too.

shmoop has science courses as well (boi, chem, and physics). Do at least two courses in one with Shmoop and save some money.

Just double checking since I can't tell from your spreadsheet, but you do have 12 regionally accredited hours, yes?

@Quigongene, All of my credits minus the Comptia transfers are regionally accredited, Which leaves me with 50 credits that are regionally accredited. Does that make a difference?
