Please Read
I am very new to InstaCert and to this board, so I hope this doesn't put everybody off. The following was forwarded to me this morning--I'm sure everyone who reads this gets forwarded stuff every day. Normally I just delete it, but I think this one should be viewed by as many people as possible.

Thanks for reading it, and I promise never to forward anything again Smile

In April 1997, there was a "gas out" conducted nationwide in protest
of gas prices. Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight.

On May 15th 2007, all internet users are to not go to a gas station in
protest of high gas prices. Gas is now over $3.00 a gallon in most

There are 73,000,000+ American members currently on the internet
network, and the average car takes about 30 to 50 dollars to fill up.

If all users did not go to the pump on the 15th, it would take
$2,292,000,000.00 (that's almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil companies
pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on
May 15th

15th and lets try to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil industry for
at least one day.

If you agree (which I cant see why you wouldn't) resend this to all
your contact list. With it saying, ''Don't pump gas on May 15th"
You may pass it, just don't buy it ! ! !

I can usually spot the hoaxes, but I totally missed it this time. I apologize to everyone.

It is likely to see gas rise to $4.00 this summer. However, even that is not too bad considering what european and asian countries have to pay for gasoline.

Also what people do not realize is even though in 1981 gasoline cost 1.35 a gallon and factoring inflation in it is $3.13 a gallon. And Americans earn A LOT more now than they did in the early 1980's, so what people spend now on gas is only half of what it used to be!!!
Also, a big component of rising gas prices is supposed to be increased demand for oil in the world--especially from China.
