Ideas Wrote:Yes, many of us think they will be forced to add proctored finals.

I really hope that is not the case.

Okay, factoring in the great advice and guidance from bjcheung77, dfrecore and Ideas this is my revised plan. I've seen transcription differences in certain degree plans for Insurance Ethics (is it phi-286 or phi-384?) Not a vital "must know" but if anyone sees incorrect TESU transcriptions then please correct me. If ALEKS Proctors Final Exams when I begin this degree plan (I return home from a trip in August) then I will not use ALEKS unless there is some compelling reason beyond cost (e.g. it is easier/faster than SL).

Let me know if this plan is ready to go!

TESU won't take Beginning Algebra. I did it just to refresh my memory before doing Intermediate, but you don't need to even bother if you are good at math. I also did it because COSC will accept it as a free elective and I wasn't sure which school I'd choose, so that's also an option for you. You could just do it to have it on your transcript just in case. And I reallllllly recommend not wasting money on the Cornerstone. You have two Study.com courses in your plan, so get rid of that nonsense and don't look back! With that saved $300 and the savings on the residency waiver, it really doesn't make sense not to use Study.com for a couple of courses to save that cash.

AwardTour Wrote:This is the type of feedback than I am looking for, thanks Ideas. I am going to rebuild my plan with Study.com replacing many (maybe all) Saylor courses.

If I were you, I would go through all of the saylor courses you think you would poetentially want/could use.

Take the practice final, if you do fairly well on it (say around 70% or so) study a bit and take the proctored for credit final. It costs you nothing other than the time to take the practice final and $25 to take the for credit final.

Do realize that the for credit final will be a bit more difficult than the practice test.

I don't care much for Saylor myself, but I think they have a few low-hanging fruit that most people can easily pick.

{Electives}
Cornerstone - 1(TESU) (Can be avoided, just a placeholder if I don't use Study.com Waiver) - Delete, use affiliate membership to get a waiver for this
Beginning Algebra 3(ALEKS) (I know this is not required) - No credit for this at TESU

Precal OR Trigonometry 3(ALEKS) (I know this is not required)
BUE-101 Personal Finance 3(SL)(This is a placeholder/alternative if I don't use ALEKS)

My only other advice - if you're not going to be starting this now, make sure that you update your plan when you get back from wherever you're going. Things can and do change regularly, and you don't want to waste time/money on things that might not work.

dfrecore, I'm going to use what you posted in Red to make the final version of my plan. When I get back in August I will re-post the plan to see if it is still valid. I see that you are only 4 classes away from reaching your goal so if you have already moved on from this site by that time then thanks for your help so far.
