So here's the question: Why does TESC offer a "Quantitative Analysis for Business" course (like the above, but maybe the above is faster), but for CIS they specify in the elective section "Quantitative Analysis and Information Systems?" It's like they either screwed up, or intentionally make it difficult...
Hopefully this answers your question:
"Note 1: This list of subjects is offered as a guide. Other subjects may also be considered appropriate for this major area of study."
You would only need call advising and tell them the course(s) you are interested in...for example the quant analy for bus, and ask if that would meet requirement for your degree plan. If they say yes, which will most likely be the case, the advisor can add it to your eval as a planned course.

Thanks for the answers Geezer and bricabrac. Since I posted these questions several weeks ago I received an unofficial eval for my CCAF AAS in CS. Turns out they were building a CCAF-BS degree completion program when I asked the question.
It looks like my (one test remaining) CCAF degree will fill up all CIS courses, all free electives, all business electives, eight gen ed electives, and one of the core business courses! (intro to computing) So that knocks out over half my degree!
So all my wailing and gnashing of teeth was for naught.
Edit: @Geezer Yes, when I came across our SkillSoft courses several years ago I was stunned at the amount of courses on there. Didn't know they gave credit. Thanks!
(Amazing that the Microsoft Certified Application Specialist course is 3 hours for learning Microsoft Office, while A+, Net+, and Security+ are only 1-2 hours each for an intense course!)

That is ri-freakin-diculous. I have Security+ and it is also only 2 credits.
Compare that to MCAS. "Hey, I learned how to use Microsoft Office." ACE: "OK, here's 3 credits for ya."
Sorry, but Net+ and Sec+ are waaaay more difficult than MCAS...
