I'm looking into filling my TESC BSBA Principles of Finance requirement at Penn Foster with transfer through ACE. I can't find where is is approved on Acenet but I'm new to looking. I go to the following link
ACE CREDIT | The National Guide to College Credit for Workforce Training and I see Principles of Finance in the list of courses but all the effective dates are way in the past. Maybe it's no longer ACE approved or maybe the course I need goes by a different name?
I have searched degreeforum for answers and I see that Penn Foster classes go in and out of ACE Accreditation but this class was suggested to me by someone here today but I don't see it as approved.

The Penn Foster class you are looking for is called "Financial Management", course code FIN 101. It is currently Ace approved. It transfers to TESC as Principles of Finance.

I've been really dreading re-taking the Principals of Finance DSST since I already failed it even after studying so hard for a long time. Will this Penn foster course transfer to TESC for my BSBA degree so I won't need to take the DSST exam? I just want to be sure so I don't want time and money since this is the only exam that I worry about preventing me from graduating on time.
Thanks for any input!

Yes Financial Management fulfills the Princ of Finance requirement with TESC. I finished the course without the book, so it isn't too bad.
Hope this help!

Thanks so much! You didn't have to go to a public building for the final exam, correct? I read some courses you have to do that, others you upload it online. I'm really glad this will work out for me!!

The final is a test that you give the answer in word and you have to show your work. You can just put in the formulas that you inputed on your calculator to get your answer. The professor even accepts excel formulas. You will then upload that for grading and in about 5 days you will get your final grade. I always ask Penn Foster before taking a course if there is a proctor requirement. When I took the course in April it did NOT have a proctor requirement.

Thanks! I wonder how the difficult of this course compares to the Principels of Finance DSST? Also, how long did it take you to complete the course?

I don't know how difficult the DSST is, but unlike a DSST, you can use whatever resources you need while you take the exams. I finished the course in about 4 days. The final grade came back 5 days after submitting the final. The total cost for the course was $225, and it took 24 hours to gain access to the courseware online. Feel free to PM me with more questions if you need to.

Gunit1 - I'm the original poster of this thread asking about this class a month ago. I'm also working on my BSBA and TESC. As you can see in my signature I've since completed the class and Penn Foster and have moved on to another Penn Foster class. Everything armyb77 said is spot on. I knocked the class out very quickly and earned an A. My final also took 5 days to come back. Everything is open book, you have all the questions ahead of time and you complete all the quizzes and tests on your own and at your own pace. For the quizzes you get 2 attempts at each of them and since you'll know the questions you missed after your first attempt it will be easy to go back and figure out the correct multiple choice answer and retake the quiz. Unless you already know the material to pass the DSST with a strong level of certainty I would save yourself a lot of time and money by just paying the $225 and going with PF. With PF your "dreading" will be eliminated.
