I took about 90 minutes to complete all 86 questions on the Principles of Supervision exam today. It has been many, many years since I've had to fill in the bubbles and, man, I found myself rounding down the tip of the pencil so I could fill in the circles quicker!
Anyway, I had to take some educated guesses on a few of the questions. I've never been involved with a union before so I didn't have a clue about a couple of other questions. For the most part, though, I believe that IC helped a lot.
Now, it is the waiting game and, in the meanwhile, it's time to study for Here's To Your Health...along with a few Cisco exams I have to take! My head feels like it's ready to explode!
Studying hard,
Alaskan

Alaskan,
As long as you knew the Instantcert material well, and didn't completely fall to pieces during the exam, it is very unlikely that you will have failed this exam.
It seems to be a common phenomenon among all of us here, that we usually come away from a DANTES exam feeling somewhat insecure about our performance. However, another common phenomenon among all of us here, is that we usually end up doing quite well when all is said and done!
hilarious
The 2-4 week wait is AWFUL! But we all have to go through it and, chances are, you will be pleasantly surprised when your score report finally arrives.
Studying for, and taking, another exam in the meantime will definitely help the time go by faster. It also keeps you motivated because you will then need to take a third exam to take your mind off the long wait for the second exam results...and so on. Ha ha!
Best of luck,
Snazzlefrag

I just took Principles of Supervision.
To tell the honest truth, I really wasn't expecting what I recieved.
I can't imagine how it would be considered one of the Easier exams, because I thought it was a "tuffy."
Learning Terminology, sequences, and definations is NOT enough. The exam, I took, was more "Scenario-based" and favored questions with answsers like:" Choose which is Most Likely, which answer is Most Correct?"
A deep understanding of the material is absolutely necessary, as most of the answers are extrapolative.
It took me some extra time to answer the 85 questions, but I favored Educated Guesses, and Process of Elimination a little more than I would have preferred
I guess I'll find out how I fared in 3 to 4 weeks
Cheers

Hi Shadowcross,
Hopefully, you will have done better than you think you did. It's not uncommon to feel like we didn't do very well on DANTES exams. More often than not, when the score arrives, we find out that our fears were unfounded.
Some exams feel very hard when we are TAKING them, but end up actually being easy to PASS because the scores are scaled. There have been many times when I have felt certain that I was only able to answer enough questions to barely pass. But when the score arrives, I find out that I passed with room to spare.
I hope that makes sense! An exam can be hard to take, but still be easy to pass.
Try not to lose heart okay? You may be pleasantly surprised by your score and, even if you did fail, there are plenty of alternative exams you can choose to replace the missed credits.
Here's hoping for a pleasant surprise and a passing score,
Snazzlefrag

I Passed with a 52, 6 points over the minimum.

Congratulations Shadowcross,
52 is an 'A' at Excelsior. So not only did you pass, but you passed with an 'A', and with room to spare!
Kiwi Lover just emailed me a copy of what I wrote to you because I am feeling very discouraged about the Modern Middle East exam I took today.
I need to take my OWN words of encouragement to heart, and hopefully I too will feel better once my score arrives.
What goes around, comes around, eh?
hilarious
Well done,
