Morning, all. I've found a wealth of info on GRE, DSST and CLEP exams, but I can't seem to find out how many UExcel exams a person can take per day. Anyone know?

Top of the morning to ya, Kitten. Even on a good day, I don't think I could handle more than a couple of tests per day. I was just curious because I would like to take two, if possible, but I don't see that info. It's probably right under my nose.

It gives you time to recover, and switch gears for the next exam. You could do once you get back into the groove of test taking, and your test taking skills inevitably improve. But it can be done. Some Asian kid was able to do 22 CLEP & DSST exams in 4 days for example - see this: http://www.degreeforum.net/general-educa...-days.html and there's also bain4weeks.com These are exceptions, but they highlight and can guide you as to how to make a plan to finish almost everything in under a year, but likely in 3 - 6 months if you're motivated. They're not hard, you typically read a few days before the exams to pass. Also, what's the status with the SATs/GREs? I'd drop studying for the SATs as it won't really matter for getting into any of the 3 colleges or help you in any way for getting into graduate programs.

When sign-up for the test on Computer-Based Test (CBT) development and delivery :: Pearson VUE you will have 6 months to take the exam once your registration is completed (usually within 24hrs). Then you sign-in; select your test, test location, available date and time. You can take tests as long as there are available time slots for that day. Just allow for the full 2-3 hours between test start times.

I believe excelsior has a limit on how many exams you can be enrolled in at a time (4 or 5 I think?), but it may not effect you if you're not actually an enrolled student there.
The biggest limitation is usually just how many time slots are available at your testing center. Some are very busy.

The qualitative exams that don't have too much analysis and are just common sense wrapped in jargon like Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, and Labor Relations (which have overlap with each other) are not bad at all, especially when you supplemtn with instantcert, the sample questions, 2 practice exams, and any feedback on the exam threads. Instantcet's offering are all pretty good except for the nursing one, & research methods in psychology imo. For anything that isn't covered by instantcert, you'll have to cover more stuff on your own which is a drag imo.

I still plan on taking the SAT, it's just not among the top 10 things on my skeletal graduation plan at present. As for the GREs, I would love to knock out a year or two of coursework by passing a couple of them. Too bad some schools don't accept them. |
