When I took U.S. 1, there seemed to be very little on the actual Civil War, and what there was deal with more social issues, although I do remember two questions that asked what the significance of such and such a battle was, and one or two on the Emancipation Proclamation. I didn't get any questions on the Mexican War. I did get a good number of questions dealing with the Jefferson and Jacksonian eras, but virtually none of it had to do with political stuff, again it was mostly social/cultural (movements, etc.). Don't neglect this part of the history, though, because my sister also took this U.S. 1 the same day as me, and she said she got questions on the consitution, political parties, etc. Also, regarding the U.S. History 2 test, I didn't get too many questions on the Civil War, although there were a few. This could just have been my test, though. Anyway, if you go at it with a book designed for the test (REA, etc.) and suppliment it with a few other good, well-rounded sources, you should be fine!
