Quickest and Easiest Way to Boost GPA for State College
#11
Grade replacement can ONLY be done at the same school, with the same course.  I looked up the policy at the school (and deleted much of what was in there since it wasn't relevant):

https://bulletin.geneseo.edu/content.php...rse-policy

Repeat Course Policy

General Policies
Although there are restrictions on repeating certain courses, generally, students may choose to repeat courses in which they have earned grades of D, E, F, U, or W. Courses in which students earned grades of P, S, C- or higher, may not be repeated. The repeat course option is subject to course availability. Credits for a repeated D course will be counted only once toward graduation. Students who wish to repeat a course assume responsibility for knowing what, if any, repeat restrictions apply to any particular course. Restrictions are noted in individual course descriptions in the Undergraduate Bulletin. Invalid or improper enrollments may result in loss of registration, grades, and/or credits.

Grade Calculations in Repeated Courses
Repeated courses will be reported as follows: a) the original and the repeat grade(s) appear on the transcript; b) only the higher (or highest) grade is included in the calculation of the cumulative grade point average. When a student earns the same grade in a repeated course a) the grade is calculated once in the cumulative grade point average and b) the credits and quality points are applied to the most recent term or semester in which the grade was earned.

So, not even a possibility for the C grades, only for that single D.

Honestly, you're much better off repeating the D course, and then working like crazy to get A's on every course you take going forward, every one of which will bring your GPA up a smidge.

Your focus should be getting that D to a higher grade, you may want to delay your application for a semester and get a session of UMPI or a few ASU UL courses down to bump up your overall GPA. If you show them you're doing great now, it would somewhat off set what was showing earlier.

OP, based on your timelines, since you won't have time to retake full semester long classes, I suggest the ASU courses since they come in at half your budget per class($425/class) and they're fool proof, aka, if you end up getting an undesirable grade, just don't transcript it and it won't affect you(plus you save that $400). For the self paced options you basically have a few science options, all of the CIS options, and most of the math options. You can also choose courses in the Fall A session since they would start 8/15/2023 and end 10/11/2023, giving you plenty of time to transcript them before your November deadline. Among the fall A and self paced options, several are also non-proctored. Depending on your strengths/interests(writing, test-taking, maths, etc.) there are a lot of options and some would definitely be quick/easy if you know what you're doing.

Start with CIS 194 - Business Technology Fundamentals since it's arguably the fastest/easiest one they have(only 1 credit, though). It should take no more than a few days and if you like its format, you could progress through the other CIS courses that are in that Certificate path(CIS 194, 294, 394). CIS 105 shouldn't be too difficult if you're good with tech topics, CIS 308 is a good option if you're decent with excel or can pick it up fairly easily. The 2 unproctored history courses shouldn't give you too much trouble, same with COM 100, though it does have weekly short papers. I don't have any first-hand experience with the other options so I can't advise there but that should give you a good starting point and if you search the course feedback thread, you may be able to get a feel for how easy/hard some of the other courses are.
