If I can wrap up my current courses I need to finish my MBA I would be interested to take their international business course just as an extra elective. I was thinking I was going to graduate in January but I found out the graduation is not where I thought it was going to be. I think I might hold off until the June graduation and gather up some more elective credits.

Found a link to the MBA program. It’s free and not yet accredited. In the US, only residents of Florida are eligible. Residents of most other countries can also enroll. https://www.saylor.org/mba/

We have to wait until they open it up a bit more, I'm waiting until it becomes accredited before working on this... I've got too many cheapies or freebies currently on my plate. Looking forward to see how this pans out...

The big catch is that students must have some pretty solid knowledge of business in order to gain entry to this program:
Quote:A rigorous entrance exam, taken in a proctored environment, must be passed with a score of 80%. Students must understand and apply key concepts in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Finance, Organizational Behavior, Principles of Marketing, Management Information Systems, Principles of Management, and Operations Management.
For those of us without a background in business, economics, finance, etc., this may be a bar to entry. However, the site does say that there's a study guide available.
Quote:Study materials, including a course and a practice exam, are available to prepare for this exam.
The link does say that this is fully self-paced. So in theory, could someone take several years to work through this, with the hopes that it may someday achieve accreditation? As always, there's the caveat that that may never happened. But given that this is free, the risk is pretty low.

Another thing to consider is that the courses all appear to be available for anyone to work through. Theoretically, you could work through the courses (except for the exams) and get familiar with the material beforehand.
But I agree that is seems pretty rigorous to be accepted in the first place.

I think Saylor has undergrad-level courses in most or all of these topics. So I assumed the study guide meant "study the courses we already have on our site." I could be wrong though.

The WIKI also has the cheapies/freebies, in addition to other threads, there was a mention of Onlinedegree.com recently not charging exam fees for US citizens/PR who are 18+, Coursera is now available for cheap using UPI Study for $5/cert or $34 for 10, etc... You just need to continue viewing posts or threads, such as the freebie Verizon Forward program using Edx (non-credit, but very good for entry level experience).

The onlinedegree being free for now is 100% true. Knocked a good 30 credits and just sent them. Very curious to know how they will transfer.
