I don't think the MIT course yields academic credit since it's not listed with either the COSC program or the ACE program.

The Ruby course is actually a course on software engineering using Agile. You will be required to record paired programming sessions as well. I think you need to come into this course already knowing RoR or you will struggle to complete the assignments before the course ends. I thought this was potentially too much work and hassle for just two credits.

Charter Oak has a partnership with edX for selected certificates, it's mentioned on the MIT course page...

Quote:Pursue Academic Credit with a Verified Certificate
Become eligible for academic credit and highlight your new skills and knowledge with a verified certificate. Use this valuable credential to qualify for academic credit from Charter Oak State College, advance your career, or strengthen your school applications.

I'm not sure how that works, but it's interesting

TESU won't accept that. TESU is also less IT Cert-friendly than either COSC or EC. But their BSBA CIS is easier to get than the other two, so it just depends on what you bring to the table. If you don't have any certs, then TESU is probably your best bet. But if you have some certs, COSC or EC is worth looking at.

Im currently cert-less and I plan to stick with TESU. Im planning to take a small break for completing everything I need to finish off my BSBA in Accounting, knocked out in the last 6 months like 51 units and got married so I need a little break....

Would probably need to be PLA at TESU. This may help with the justification: https://www.charteroak.edu/prior-learnin...x-ccap.cfm
