I only have a high school diploma and can dedicate over 40 hours a week to studying. I hope to obtain a bachelor's degree in Information Systems from UMPI as quickly and cost-effectively as possible. Therefore, I plan to complete as many transferable credits as I can through Sophia and Study.com before applying to UMPI. This is my study plan:https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1...sp=sharing

I would appreciate any advice from experienced friends. Additionally, does anyone have course plan recommendations for UMPI's PM+IS program? Thank you very much for your help.  Heart

@Fiona, Welcome to the board, good introduction post, but it's missing info... please make sure to fill in the addendum as well, it has important information you should share with us. Budget, commitments, study habits, etc are very important for us to 'gauge' how you do things and to see a bigger picture of your scenario.

Keep in mind you have to do 30 credits at UMPI. But  it looks like you’re going to go the same route I went with alt credits. I went a bit overboard with credits but it looks like you have a solid game plan. I don’t know why straighterline isn’t mentioned more often here but I like their structure the best if you don’t mind a proctored final. Its only 30% of the grade I think so if you get 90+ on the quizzes you can basically bomb the final and get the 70% overall in the class.

Easy, search for 'leapfrog' and my posts... It'll explain the details why Sophia.org and Study.com is the go to combo, previously, it was StraighterLine/Study.com until Sophia.org made their price change... Straightline isn't like Sophia or Study.com, where there is a step-by-step process to view the content, do quizzes, and then take a final exam based on what you learned.

Often, there is a large, nearly 1000-page, small-print book for each course, making it impossible to read and remember everything unless you are Rainman or something. Their tests are open-book, so you end up searching for the answers.

I feel like I learned better with Sophia, Study.com, or by studying on my own for CLEPs.
Degrees: BA Computer Science, BS Business Administration with a concentration in CIS, AS Natural Science & Math, TESU. 4.0 GPA 2022.
Course Experience:  CLEP, Instantcert, Sophia.org, Study.com, Straighterline.com, Onlinedegree.org, Saylor.org, Csmlearn.com, and TEL Learning.
Certifications: W3Schools PHP, Google IT Support, Google Digital Marketing, Google Project Management
