General Ed Elective from TESC with SL
#1
Hi everyone, I was thinking about using the Western Civ 1&2 SL courses for my last two courses for TESC. I am having trouble just filling in the blanks without studying. (I know your answer is just study!) What else would count for General electives? Would these SL courses count? Which ones are easiest?

Introduction to Philosophy

Introduction to Criminal Justice

Cultural Anthropology

Introduction to Psychology

Has anyone else had trouble with the Western Civ. SL course? I would appreciate any tips you have. Thanks!

About a year ago I had that same question about what fulfills the General Education requirements for the B.A. in History. My advisor told me that that it could be social sciences, humanities, science, or really anything with lower level credit, as long as it fits those categories.

They used Introduction to Criminal Justice as a Gen Ed filler, as well as SL's Macro Economics.

Cultural Anthropology was the easiest Straighterline course I took. Psychology wasn't too hard, but Philosophy was more complicated than I thought it would be.
A.A. General Studies- TESC, 2013
B.A. History, TESC, 2014 - Arnold Fletcher Award - 4.0 GPA
M.A. Government, Security Studies - Johns Hopkins University, Class of 2018.

Straighterline - 26 courses, including English Comp. I & II, Western Civilization I & II, U.S. History I & II, Intro. to Sociology, Intro to Philosophy, Cultural Anthropology, Environmental Science, Science of Nutrition, Business Law, Financial Accounting, etc.

ALEKS: Intermediate Algebra

CLEP: Humanities 56, Social Sciences and History 58

FEMA: 6 credits

DSST: Civil War and Reconstruction 71, Introduction to Vietnam War 69, Rise and Fall of the Soviet Union 64, Modern Middle East 71.

TESC courses: War and American Society (A), Liberal Arts Capstone (A).

120/120! I'm there!

Okay, thanks. So Anthropology would count as a Gen Ed and so would SL intro to Criminal Justice? Thanks,
