I learned of Shmoop via this forum and signed my teenage son up for a history course, which he really enjoyed and did well with. Unfortunately, WGU won't accept credits from them since the finals are not proctored. He re-took the course with Straighterline - finished it in two days, so no real harm done, and he enjoyed the Shmoop class much more. Just be aware if you are wanting to attend WGU, you should stick with Saylor, Straighterline, and Study.com.

Yes, WGU, while a little more flexible on accepting credit from alternative sources, still has rules that you should be aware of. They do not accept all ACE credit.

Anyone know the estimated turn around time for Shmoop to review ACE Credit request. Just finished US Hist I today and requested it be added to transcript. Thanks.

I asked Shmoop if they were anticipating any of the literature courses getting upper level approval. Doesn't seem like that will be happening any time soon.

I was hoping that they would get any Lit Course approved by this point. I still have a week left to my sub at this point but it won't be enough time now. :-(
