Do you think it matters about the BS vs BA? I am almost finished my LS degree, which would be a BS. I suppose it doesn't matter, except that I have a grand total of 4 math/science classes, and the overwhelming majority of my classes are in literature, history and the humanities. The only reason my degree is BS right now is because one of my upper level exams, Substance Abuse, is considered "Applied Professional." I would have to take an additional non-applied professional upper level exam to change my degree to BA. IMO the Excelsior policy is pretty arbitrary, but I'm hoping that employers that are looking for well-rounded candidates (with a foundation in humanities) will not really care. What do you think about BA vs BS. Should you try to make the letters in your degree reflect your studies (by the traditional BA designation), or do you think it really makes no difference?

Yeah, you're right, Cook. I'm just going to finish it the way it is. Besides, I'm using it primarily to get into a master's program.
Thanks for the link, Anastasia. By the way, I noticed that you are considering Pacifica. I was looking at that school for possible graduate work in Mythological Studies, but I realized that program has no practical application to the real world. If I retire with a few million, I'll enroll to study myths. Anyway, it seems like a good school for the Psych program; I hope you will keep me updated.

I considered Pacifica also about <mumble> years ago, but yeh the Mytho program is best if you are not worried about income prospects or are set on a Phd/PsyD. If I were going to do Pacifica (and I have not ruled it out completely), I would probably get the Humanities MA from CSUDH and get the doctorate from Pacifica.

As a hiring manager I would want you to be creative and fully engaged at $32K/year. The recruiter who screens you before I interview you would want you to behave.
Get the BS. It sounds sophisticated.
