WGU vs TESU Computer Science Degree
#31
If the TECEP doesn't fit in your study plan, it will be dropped

WGU’s Computer Science degree is ABET-accredited, competency-based, and cost-efficient, letting motivated students finish faster and earn industry certifications along the way. It’s ideal if you want strong technical depth and flexibility. TESU, on the other hand, offers a traditional B.A. in Computer Science, with a broader liberal arts focus and structured credit requirements. It suits students who prefer a more conventional program and well-rounded education, but may be less technical than WGU’s B.S. program.

? In short: WGU = faster, technical, career-focused; TESU = broader, traditional, liberal arts-oriented.

That's not my experience. Twice (a year apart), my advisors contacted me to let me know they would drop the TECEP that didn't fit my study plan *unless* I contacted them to discuss why I'd signed up. For one TECEP, it was enough for them that I told them it was a personal interest and that I was thinking of *possibly* adding an associate's to my degree plan that would use that course; for another, it was enough that I was using it to maintain enrollment.

I think what's happened on the board here before is that people's TECEPS get dropped because they didn't discuss it with their advisors, and/or they didn't appeal if the drop was made without warning.

I was going to sign up for it either way by paying so I could get unlimited transcript reviews. If I were to enroll in it with this scholarship would I only have the TECEP exam available for the month of September? That's the part I'm confused about.

My answer might come late, but you would be able to take the TECEP during any part of the term, which lasts about three months.

Since you're getting a scholarship, I would opt for one of the three credit courses--three for free is better than one, assuming you can take the time to study.
