Finishing up BABA degree. I have a ton of credits that transferred in from Sophia, past colleges and Google PM Cert. I have several extra business elective credits that came in as BUS 2xx and BUS 3xx. However, I'm being told I still need to take two more business electives for the PM minor of BUS 245 and BUS 359, although I have 11 classes that I'm already doing at UMPI.
Weird because the Google PM Cert came in as 9 credits covering BUS 400 but didn't cover BUS 359 and came as BUS 3xx.
UMPI: BABA - Minor MIS & PM (In progress - May 2025 Target Completion)
ACE CREDITS:
Sophia: 108 credits
Coursera: 9 credits
Coursera Certs:
Google Project Management Certification (V2)

Their feedback is consistent with the degree plan on the Wiki, the Coursera equivalency page on the Wiki and the UMPI transfer database, which all indicate you should expect to do BUS 359 at UMPI:
https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UM...egree_Plan
https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Coursera
BUS 245 can be transferred in using the Google Data Analytics cert:
BUS 245 - Programming for Managers Google Data Analytics Certificate
https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UMPI_!Minors
Per the UMPI catalog, you can select the following for business electives in the PM minor:
Select TWO of the following courses for 6 Credit Hours:
BUS 359 - IT Project Management 3 credits
BUS 401 - Advanced Project Management Applications II 3 credits
BUS 415 - Operations Management 3 credits (can be transferred in from Sophia or Study)
BUS 440 - Business Analytics 3 credits
BUS 469 - Strategic Professional Communication 3 credits

And the reason they don't cover the respective classes is because, it doesn't come in as BUS 245 or BUS 359, it doesn't matter if you have over 120+ credits and electives all coming in as BUS 2XX or 3XX, it doesn't hit the spot requirement, thus, you are required to transfer in the proper class or take it at UMPI. Basically, follow the WIKI plans to make sure you have all the requirements transferred and complete the 10 residency classes at UMPI...

BUS2XX and BUS3XX are just a general business elective and cannot be used to fulfill minor requirements as they are specific courses that are your options.

That's correct, as I mentioned in post #3, you can't and shouldn't have elective credits come in as a specific required class. It's like saying my high school elective math classes should be sufficient for all required math classes in college. BTW, you haven't completed the addendum and template, there may be a discrepancy as you've mentioned BABA with minors in MIS & PM, what is the concentration you're going for?
