Shutdown cancels sports games and dances for students at military-base schools
#1
So... I find myself writing to the President and my Congressional delegation again.

It is unfathomable to me that these kids are being punished.

Extracurricular activities were such an integral part of my own high school experience.

"The Department of Defense Education Activity, or DoDEA, which operates 161 schools on or near military bases worldwide, has halted all extracurricular activities, including sports, for more than 67,000 students."

I don't know why, but this administration has really had it out for us military members and federal workers. Morale has already been low across the force and recruiting is already difficult enough. I think they're trying to see how low it can go. As long as you can do push up, run real good, and praise Charlie Kirk, you're eligible to promote yesterday -- God forbid you posses any technical competencies, autonomy, and create a positive working environment that propagates the ideas of Force Development and Force Management concepts. Everyday, they look for new ways to make it worse; it's honestly quite impressive actually. Hegseth and the gang must have it in their heads that they're on a sinking ship and the only way to plug the hole is to throw the fatties and those politically opposite overboard. For those hearing about how the administration has given us raises, it's far less than what we got compared to the Biden administration.

So much to it. I don't know who is at fault for the Government shutdown.

Simply, it's unfair to punish these kids.

I did get letters off to the President and to Senator Tim Kaine .Although I disagree with Senator Kaine on so many issues, I have found that his constituent services are amazing.

Regarding President Trump: Look! Peace is breaking out all over the place.

I think some credit is due.

He is using the military against US citizens.

Progress!

Now it looks like extracurricular activities and DODEA Schools are now considered Excepted activities.

Great news, in my opinion.
