Straighterline- Next course offerings
#1
I stumbled over a poll on the following straighterline Advisor website Help us choose the next course! | The StraighterLine Advisorin which the organization is asking students and others to help it decide which course(s) to offer next.

I ''voted'' Human Resource Mgt and Introduction to Marketing. There are other choices available. Thought DFers might also contribute to the poll by helping SL priorritize what course(s) to offer next.

Even though I absolutely abhor your selections, I liked your post anyway. Big Grin I always choose something that is not already offered as a CBE. My two choices were Intro to Geography and Intro to Programming in Java, but they are already going to offer Java. Other than those, the selections suck.

My choices were based on my immediate needs. Smile I agree with you that it would perhaps make more sense to chose something not already offered as CBE. But, for folks like me who cannot CLEP or DSST (due to my location) unless I want to TECEP or Uexcel, SL's Marketing and HRM promises to be a stressfree deal.

Hahaha. I can understand that. Smile

The reason I suggested them is that "Systems Analysis and Design" is a required course to earn a BSBA in Computer Information Systems. If you could take it through StraighterLine it would save a small fortune (especially if you are on TESC's per credit plan). I selected "Data Structures" because I knew it was a required course for TESC's BA in Computer Science and is an elective for the BSBA-CIS degree. I thought it was an upper level course, but it isn't. A better pick for the BSBA-CIS degree would be any computer related upper level course -- e.g. "Artificial Intelligence".

Geography would have been a nice course offering when I was working on my BA degree back in 2009-2010. I'm kind of surprised they haven't expanded their course listings to include many of these proposals since then.

Those are great choices too. I madly need them as well. It would be great if SL offer them.
