Hi there,
I need to take American Government and was wondering whether I should take it using study.com or Instantcert. I'm not familiar with either learning platform. Any recommendations?
Thanks!

Which school? For TESU, EC, and UMPI, American Government from InstantCert will be the cheapest way to go. At COSC, they would only accept Study.com out of those two options.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

Thanks, Rachel. It's to fulfill the requirement for TESU. I just wanted to make sure I was using the best platform. I wasn't a huge fan of SL.

Definitely go InstantCert. I did Political Science 102: American Government (at Study.com) and it didn't go where I imagined it. I ended up doing both courses.
This is the official response I got from TESU (late 2020) on the Study.com course:
The equivalency for the Study.com course, American Government, was changed by ACE on September 1, 2020 to POS-100 which is not longer approved for Civic Engagement. Since you took it after that date, the equivalency and placement stands as POS-100.

American Government at SDC doesn't work at TESU but Comparative Politics ought to work. Still, I would go with InstantCert.

I would recommend InstantCertCredit as well, save the monthly Study.com membership for the upper level credits.
And if you're going for a BALS at TESU with/without a concentration, since they take ACE & NCCRS...
For lower level, go in this order - MS/CLEP, Sophia.org, Onlinedegree.com, InstantCertCredit, StraighterLine
For upper level, also in this order - Coopersmith/Davar, Study.com, TEEX, Saylor.org

I just completed my first InstantCertCredit class, Principles of Marketing, and would recommend it. I had several questions that I emailed InstantCert about during the class, and received prompt responses each time. I took the final exam exam on a Friday morning and the badge was in my Credly account on Tuesday morning. $35 for 3 credits including proctoring costs is an excellent value.
