My Action Plan
#1
I am getting closer to my start date of February 1, 2023 at WGU and I just wanted to share some information on what approach I took and little background on me. I am 49 years old and I had only taken a few college courses many, many years ago. I, also, work 45 hours per week. Since these were older courses, none counted at WGU to transfer in for credit. I researched the best I could about 4-5 months ago and discovered Sophia, SDC and StraighterLine. I wish I would have discovered DegreeForum back then as well. Anyways, I started with Sophia first, then SDC and then finally Straighterline. I have managed to take and pass 38 courses in less than 4 months with these top three. I know you all have heard this time and time again, but seriously if I can do this, you can too! I know everyone is different and some have done this quicker than me. I'm merely sharing my story, is all, with the hopes to encourage others. I have read about many others taking this approach, but I wanted to share my brief story with you all. I hope this encourages others to pursue their dreams and to never give up. Below is what approach and path I took over the past 4 months. Keep in mind, I took more courses than I needed with Sophia only because I had the 4 month subscription and I wanted to get my moneys worth. I am going for my Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration, by the way. I should only need to take about 12-13 remaining courses with WGU once I start and I saved a lot of money by doing this.

That's awesome! Can I ask if you tried another school like UMPI or EU for your degree? They may have taken your previous credits thus less time, money and work.

I’ve considered UMPI, TESU and others. WGU seems the best route for me.
