I think Sage and Philosopher are very close to the same thing- but I would suggest "professor" as highest rank. An "academic" would be a great rank just before doctorate- since this indicates a researcher. So, since we are all throwing out our two cents, here are mine:

Pre-Schooler(er)
Kindergarten(er)
Elementary School(er)
Middle School(er)
High School(er)
Associate
Bachelor
Master
Academic
Doctorate
Sage and/or Philosopher
Professor

A question- can you assign number of posts and length of time for the higher titles? For example, maybe you need to be here for a year, two year, or even several years before you can earn "professor"

I like the academic rankings, but we have six ranks now, and I don't see a need for any more than that. Therefore, I would suggest:

Associate
Bachelor
Master
Doctor
Professor
Dean

I like these. Not too fond of going backwards and starting earlier than Associate. Cool

Would people (new members especially) perhaps be inclined to presume one holds such a degree as it is being displayed along with their name; I don't think that people would consider anyone to be a knight or squire as used today but this new "ranking" could be confusing - IMO.
