TECEP Financial Accounting

Has anyone taken the Financial Accounting TECEP?
I couldn't find any information through search of this website.

The recommended book covers Financial and Managerial Accounting.
Anyone know how much of the book is covered on the test?
Anyone know how difficult the test is?

My son aced the Intro to Political Science TECEP first try, but couldn't manage a pass on Microeconomics with 2 tries (despite reading the 2 recommended books and reviewing multiple courses on Study.com!)
Seems there's a wide range of difficulty in regards to TECEPs.

Any insight would be appreciated.

A little too late to the question, but for anyone else:


I've taken both TECEPs, Principles of Financial Accounting and Principles of Managerial Accounting.

You need 60 (out of 100) to pass these, but you do need to know your stuff to pass either one. I did things backwards, in a way, as I did intermediate accounting and my AOS courses first, before doing these. Even then I forgot some things alone the way, especially while moving at a fast pace.

The Saylor course referenced in the Financial Accounting TECEP study material is good; it should work, although YMWV depending on your background. The Saylor material referenced in the Managerial Accounting course is a nightmare. It's a messy pile of cr@p, and the textbook they pull from is annoying. The Lumen course is much better.
