I believe you in that TESC courses take precedent, but I've also seen preference for As and CR. I've had courses with a B pushed out by pass/fail courses.

My job said they would give me a small raise as well reimburse me for my tuition for the TESC AA in General Studies (Associate in Arts (AA) degree). Here's my potential evaluation below. Seems like a much easier ride. Says I need 9 credits. One more credit and I'd reach 12 to do the per-credit tuition. What are yall's thoughts on this? And no capstone!

Great News!!
Glad to see Environmental Ethics filled the ethics requirement!
Responsiblity elective: PSY270 Psychology of Women. (easy exam)
For natural science an alternate for the science of nutrition exam would be CIS107 computer concepts and applications. (easy exam) Looks like you have more experience in the subject area. You could study the IC computer flashcards for that exam.
Also looks as if you enjoy communications, COM210 Public Relations Thought & Practice might be a good exam for you. Also has a reputation of being easily doable. Bonus - there are IC flashcards available!
Another bit of news that I learned today, the TECEPs that are MC and taken via ProctorU are now graded instantly!
Note: If you choose PSY270, CIS107, COM210, or SOC210 send me a PM, I have study notes/links for helpful websites.

Have you received verification from somewhere that Psychology of Women will work for that? It's not a new test, so one would think it would be listed under Personal & Social Responsibility if it counted.

I was not aware this was your degree plan. Why do you continue to question me? It has really grown old. I've tried but have lost patience. I will no longer respond to your posts so please don't address questions to me.
@ Lupin26, if interested in that exam, a simple email or call to advising to ask if it can/cannot be used to fill a responsiblity elective. Unfortunately, I cannot locate the post/email evaluation where a member used both PSY270 and SOC210 along with SL business ethics for the PSR slots. So for now, I will retract my advice and instead recommend SOC210. I would still send an email to advising to inquire. Regardless for the three extra TECEPs needed my recommendations would be:
SOC210 for responsibility (if PSY270 not approved)
CIS107 for natural science (as a possible alternate for BIO208/ask advising)
PSY270 or COM210 alternate general education elective.
order of ease: CIS107, PSY270, COM210, SOC210, BIO208
The OSS what if software is really screwed up right now. Instead of my courses populating available slots, they seem to be pinned to the other courses area. I've also seen the DSST business ethics in society exam recently used to fill the ethics requirement, but my course does not move to the slot; nor does SOC101, SOC210, or PSY270 move to the responsibility slots. So at this point I cannot confirm any of the previously used exams through the online software.
Separately, I'm still trying to get more information on the AAS ES&ST. Wanted to take a look at what other law/ethics subjects would land in the AOS. Unfortunately, a few of the AAS degrees have not been updated in the system under the new catalog, so that investigation has been tabled for now.

@ Lupin26, if interested in that exam, a simple email or call to advising to add it as PL credit would answer what can or cannot be used to fill a responsiblity elective. Another member used PSY270 in that slot but I cannot find the post with the degree plan now and I don't have time presently to search further. (It could also be in my emails.) Actually the same person used both PSY270 and SOC210 along with, if memory serves, SL business ethics to fill PSR.

No one is right 100% of the time. Questioning someone is a form of checks and balances. It might not be my degree plan, but I'm going to say something if I think a person might be getting questionable information. You do the same. You've even done it to me, but do you see me whining? I'm not going to hold my tongue just to appease your oversensitivity. I've lost patience with you getting butt-hurt over simple questions. There was absolutely nothing rude about that post. No one is above questioning. How do you get by in life with such thin skin? Don't even act like this is just an issue with me. You showed your oversensitivity in the thread about sharing textbooks; I had no part of that.
OP. Verify that the Psychology of Women test will work before you sign up for it. If someone can't back up their advice with a credible source or at least some rationale based on a similar situation, then don't take it at face value. People question my advice all the time even when I'm not advising them on their degree plans. I just answer them because there is nothing wrong with asking for clarification or verification. If someone can backup their advice, then questions should not make them feel uncomfortable.

I asked them to go ahead and move me to the AA in General Studies and for a more comprehensive academic evaluation. To do the Pay-Per-Credit, I'm going to have to take an easy 4th course. Of course, if I can take less classes or can take the 9 easily and quickly I'm just gonna use another tuition plan. I'll post my academic evaluation if it's any different than the one above.
So, it looks like I need 6 credit hours in B: Responsibility and 3 credit hours in C: Natural Sciences. I haven't taken the Environmental Ethics class yet but looks like they gave me credit for it on my potential evaluation. I'm going to ask advising about the following courses, please correct me on anything:
Responsiblity elective: PSY270 Psychology of Women. (easy exam)
Natural Science alternative: CIS107 computer concepts and applications
COM210 Public Relations Thought & Practice (where would this fall under?)
SOC210 (where would this fall under?)
Forgive me, but what is "PL" an acronym for?
Thanks again for all the help. I'm definitely gonna hit you up for the study materials. I'm genuinely excited to start and complete this. I hope this thread has helped others in the same boat as me.

PL = Planned Credit. Basically a place setting for courses/exams that have been approved but are still pending. Once you complete the course, the evaluation will update.
For the Pay Per Credit (PPC) Tuition Plan you need 12CR in TESC courses/exams to fill the residency requirement. You have 9CR to fill but you will in fact need one additional test. It will bounce something to other courses but for the price savings, it's worth it.
B: Responsibility (In Progress) NEED 6 CR
2.. AN100 Intro to Cultural Anthro. 3.00 C ANT-150 *TE
3.. ETH-210 Environmental Ethics..... (3.00) --- ETH-210 *PL *TE
Personal and Social Responsibility Elective ________________ (3)
--> Choose 1. Ask advising if PSY270 would meet the requirement, if not SOC210 will.
SOC210 Marriage and the Family
PSY270 Psychology of Women
--> ETH210 Environmental Ethics is Planned (PL). Basically you now know that exam is approved to fill that slot. Once you've completed the exam it will change to CR.

Recommended Study Resource: The Saylor Foundation open course Environmental Ethics, Justice, and World Views provides excellent, free preparation for this TECEP exam. If you are interested, go to the Saylor.org site to learn how their course process works. This link takes you to the course: ENVS203: Environmental Ethics, Justice, and World Views « Saylor Academy
C. Natural Sciences (Pending) NEED 3 CR
3.. BIO-208 The Science of Nutrition. (3.00) --- BIO-208 *PL *TE
--> Here, if advising approves, I would substitute
CIS107 Computer Concepts and Applications
Then you still need 3CR (PPC).
D. General Ed Electives
--> Choose 1 from the following:
COM210 Public Relations Thought & Practice
SOC210 Marriage and the Family
PSY270 Psychology of Women
Whichever test is not used in Sec B (SOC210/PSY270) is still available to fill this slot. I just randomly chose Sec D as an example. They can pull from anywhere in the degree plan to replace either a humanites/social science course; depends which exam you take.
By taking four exams, instead of three, you to meet the Pay Per Credit residency requirement and the degree will cost under $1K; instead of over $3K Enrolled Options Tuition Plan (out of state).
Hope I've answered your questions. I have links in my signature that will explain further. BTW, I sent you a PM with a link to download the study materials for all four exams.
Take care!

Make sure with your employer, if you haven't done so already, that they will reimburse you for TECEPs. In my case my employer would not, so I used the enrolled option instead as they would pay for that, so in my case it was less out of pocket for me, but took longer. Of course, they may pay for TECEPs which would be great or you may decide, if they don't, to pay for them on your own for the sake of speed. Only you know what will work best for you.

My official academic evaluation finally was entered into the computer. I asked if I could use the DSST Ethics in America instead of Environmental Ethics TECEP and they said it was fine. Would this be a smart decision? There seems to be more resources for the DSST and I even have a practice test at home in one of those DSST test preparation guides. And, there are essay questions on the TECEP.
If anyone thinks this is a smart choice, could you lead me in the right direction for study material?
