Need lab for TESC or Charter oak?
#1
Hello all, I'm new to the group and my son has started out last year taking CLEP/DSST and just accumulating credits during his High school years. He wants to major in Military history or history through either Thomas Edison or Charter Oak. He already took the Biology CLEP and wants to take Anatomy & Phys. thru Straighterline, but my question is: Does the Biology CLEP count as a lab class at either one of those schools or would he have to take the Anatomy & Phys. lab class thru Straighterline along with the regular class? And has anyone taken those classes? What do you think? We have never used Straighterline yet, but thought we would give it a try for a couple of classes. Thanks so much for your help!

I know COSC will require at least one science with a lab. Credit by exam does not satisfy this requirement. Straighterline with a lab works just fine. Many have taken these and had them applied at the big three....biggest drawback is the cost of the lab kit. My wife just finished A&p through New Mexico junior college online which included virtually al labs total cost for a 4 credit course through them is right at $400.

AS in EMS August 2010

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this).  Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.
