TESC Evaluation Update
#1
Hi all,

I planned most of my classes with an adviser and was working with the evaluation below showing that I only needed to plan one more 3 credit 200+ level class for my concentration (was planning on DSST The Race to Save the Planet after my Global Environmental Changes class):

BA Nat Sci/Math 2010 (33 Sh)
Semester Hours Completed: 30.00
GPA Achieved/Needed: none / 2.000

Complete both subrequirements:
A: Concentration (27) (In Progress)
> Complete 27 credits in the Natural Sciences. At least THREE
> different subjects must be included for breadth of
> knowledge. A student must earn at least 12 semester hours
> in ONE subject. A maximum of 18 semester hours can be
> earned in any ONE subject area in order to have a balanced
> interdisciplinary concentration. A maximum of TWO college
> level courses equating to the 100 level can be applied
> toward the area of concentration. A deeper knowledge of
> subjects is provided by requiring that a minimum of 18
> semester hours be at the 300 and/or 400 level. **It is
> highly recommended that course LIB-495 be completed to
> satisfy 3 semester hours of this requirement.**
!! Exception
Overage 1sh Grp B
Take 26sh

Semester Hours Completed: 23.00 Required: 26 Remaining: 3

... However, this morning after they applied my 9 ALEKS credits my evaluation now says:

So was my prior evaluation wrong? It does state "A maximum of TWO college level courses equating to the 100 level can be applied toward the area of concentration." but does not mention a credit cap on that - hence me having 7 instead of 6 at the 100 level. But under the concentration it mentions 6 semester hours. Unfortunately it looks like this will add another class or test to my plans to pick up that one credit.

Thanks!

Steven

Where and what did your ALEKS Intermediate Algebra Credit come over as?
#3
It came over as MAT-115 and in my case was placed in the Math section of General Education.
