TESC GPA Policy
#1
I've looked around the forums -- and I know I have seen this mentioned, but now I cannot find it!

I found the Masters Degree of my dreams, but the school wants my BA from TESC to be above a "B"

I checked TESC's policy: Policy on Grading

They're saying they don't give a GPA for any of the credits I'll be transferring in, including the TECEPs I'll be taking, however if I take "one semester credit hour" that will be counted, so...

If I completely transfer my credits in (and take TECEPs) and took one course (Which I'm already planning on doing; Marketing with Digital and Social Media (MAR-441))
Will they take my grade from that course and turn it into my GPA for the entire degree? Am I reading that right? Like, let's say I ACE that course, like 100% boom! Will my GPA be 4.0?
...or is there more to it than that. :-P

That would certainly make it an A. Are you sure they won't look at your cumulative grades rather than just your TESC GPA?

Which school is it?
MA in progress
Certificate in the Study of Capitalism - University of Arkansas
BS, Business  Administration - Ashworth College
Certificates in Accounting & Finance
BA, Regents Bachelor of Arts - West Virginia University
AAS & AGS

Usually, schools want GPA's at all of the places you take courses, and especially the last 60 (or whatever number they choose) credits. So sure, you can take 1 course at TESC and get that 4.0 - but I think they will look further and see that every credit was transferred in, and want info from the previous schools.

Also, this is the norm - I don't think you bring your GPA with you. You have the GPA you have at a school, if you change schools, credits can transfer, but your GPA doesn't. You get the GPA you earn at each school.
