I am trying to figure out if I am going to make the deadline for December graduation for an AAS Safety and Security? I am enrolling, picking up the AAS and then on to finish BA. Here is my dilemma. It has taken me forever to enroll. I am waiting for TESC to send me the check form my private student loan. I need to sign and mail it back. Until then advising will not help me at all. I am in a race against time to meet the October 1st deadline. Do you think I will make it? I needed 3 ENG credits, so I took the College Comp w/Essay Clep. I took that on 9/11 and I do not have the results back. I am fairly certain I passed. I also just finished the ALEKS math course I needed and the final credits.
I guess the main question I have is should I fill out the graduation request form as soon as I showed enrolled? Obviously they will not have the Clep and Aleks info at the time I submit the form. How tight are they on that October 1st deadline for December graduation? Do you think they will process and just wait for the last credits to show? Or do you think I will have to wait until the next graduation in March. I would really like to get it in December. What are your thoughts and experiences?

I believe I've seen if you are enrolled and within 9 credits (those credits have been or will be completed by the deadline - they don't have to have been transcribed yet) then you are okay to apply for graduation.
Here's the link: nevermind older link - see Bricabrac's link below :-)

Hi patsfand,
I've gone through the process twice. Yes, go ahead and submit the form as soon as you are officially enrolled. In section 3 of the form note the pending credits and date you completed the course/exam. The graduation department (registrars office) will place your file in a pending status awaiting the final transcripts. You will be in line for December graduation and transcribing is
much faster when you are in the grad queue. On the student services site under the student records tab there is a link for transcripts received. When you see that both remaining transcripts have been received shoot an email over to the grad specialist and she takes it from there. (You will receive her contact information in a confirmation email after submitting the grad form.)
This is the link to the current graduation form. The fee is now $257.00.

Congrats on your upcoming graduation!

I'm not quite sure why you are worried about advising appt. Is it to make sure all credits fit where you think they will? Can you not view it online? Did you not get the initial transcripts sent in and evaluated? By your first post I was under the impression the only thing missing in your academic evaluation would be the clep and aleks courses.
As long as you are enrolled you can apply for graduation. But if you are not sure you have all the required credits and don't want to pay until you do, maybe you should wait until the next round which would be apply by Jan 1 for March 2011. Since you are staying on for a bachelors there is no rush (well other than an early xmas present).
Good luck!

Quick edit: Aleks beginning algebra is MAT102. The question is will it meet the math requirement for your degree program. Did you also complete intermediate algebra? It would definitely fill the requirement. Any who now that you are enrolled you can call the advising expressline. No guarantees but they've stepped up the expressline recently with advisors being for the most part on the same page. They could answer if MAT102 would qualify for your required math course and plug it in to your academic evaluation for you.
I am going to PM you the phone number. You can call in the morning.
Good luck, I hope it works out for you!

My one year enrollment expires Oct. 2011!!
Hope this teaches someone not to procrastinate like me. I still have 60 credits to complete:ack:
This may sound like a silly question, but if I complete and transfer all my credits by Oct. would I be able to graduate in December ( even though my enrollment expired??).:puke:
If I'm not able to graduate in Dec. I understand if I dont want to pay enrollment again and graduate in September; I have until July 1st deadline to complete my credits. I heard I can have 9 credits in the process of evaluating after that deadline?
When would you recommend my last scheduled ACE or Clep credit test be taken? I know it takes most of the time a month or more to evaluate ACE or CLEP, so I'm thinking at least June 1st ( is that right)?
Any help is veryy much appreciated.:o
