TESU BSBA
#1
Hi everyone,

I contacted TESU about a year ago to discuss if I can transfer all the credits in for the healthcare management BSBA. They told me no that the courses had to be taken through TESU. While looking at the transcript page for TESU on Study.com I noticed that all of the courses can be taken through Study.com. Does anyone have any experience with BSBA healthcare management? Have you completed it through Study.com? I'm close to completing my BSBA in general management but now I'm considering taking a few extra classes for the healthcare management BSBA. Could this be a second degree option? Below are listed the classes I have taken.

Thanks

If do a second area of study for a BSBA just be aware that none of the AOS can overlap. So a healthcare management BSBA would require 18 additional credits (6 courses) on top of the GM BSBA.

As far requirements go the Healthcare management requires the same gen eds, business core and capstone so only thing you need to add is the 18 credits in healthcare management.

If I were you I'd email advising specific courses from study.com and ask if they can count for a healthcare management BSBA.

Also I'm not sure if you have it but a BSBA requires 4 courses of UL in the AOS, I only see 3.

I think it's now possible to get those courses through Study.com for sure, especially since there are no specific requirements (so just 6 courses in HCM). Here's what I would take:

HCM 301: Ethical & Legal Issues in Healthcare (HCM-308)
HCM 303: Healthcare Organization & Management (HCM-307)
HCM 305: Healthcare Finance & Budgeting (HCM-208)
HCM 307: Healthcare Delivery Systems (HCM-306)
HCM 308: Healthcare Quality & Outcome Measurement (HCM-404)
HCM 310: Human Resource Management in Healthcare (HCM-406)

CSU-Global also has a boatload of them available (11 I think). No idea how those come in though, except that they are all UL.

Thank you both so much. I think it might be worth it because I want to stay in the healthcare field but I want the option to have other opportunities in business management.

Off topic from your original question, but does TESU BSBA General Management only require 3 upper level courses?

I believe it requires 4. I have one straighterline course that counted as UL.

It requires 4.

Plus the capstone (which is UL) - for a total 15 UL credits.
