Transcript changes after graduation
#1
Let's say your graduate with a Bachelor's degree from TESU, but choose to stay enrolled in a second Bachelor's degree or Undergrad Certificate.

Then, you continue to submit additional credits through Credly.

Would the transcript of your first Bachelor's degree be updated with the new credits, even years after you have graduated? Or is the transcript "finalized" (=fixed), never to be changed the moment you graduate?

Your transcript will have the new courses.

Your TESU transcript is inclusive, so it would reflect all credits they have knowledge of (taken at or transferred to) regardless of degree they were applied to.

In other words, your transcript will reflect any updates or changes you've made, such as completing more alternative credits ACE,NCCRS, etc towards the second credential. Having a first degree doesn't stop you from getting more credits for a second credential... For TESU, it's best to get both credentials at the same time, for UMPI you can only do one credential at a time, each institution is different...

Is there an industry term for how TESU does its transcripts? I know they show the degrees earned at the top, then a list of all the credits that span the degrees below (both new and old) but they don't appear to be tied to a specific degree on the transcript. I'm having a hard time explaining to my grad school admissions auditor and she keeps asking for 'separate transcripts for separate degrees', which I don't believe is an option at TESU.

I've not heard of separate transcripts for separate degrees from any college. Granted I don't have experience with every college, but I've completed multiple degrees at multiple colleges and none offer multiple transcripts. All of the courses are on 1 transcript.

Thanks ss20ts. I suspect this is just someone who is unfamiliar with a transcript with more than one degree.

Regardless of the number of degrees, the transcript will be the same for each degree, as it would show you the classes completed in the degree, and all the remaining credits that have been in your evaluation (all the credits you have accumulated in total). That admissions auditor just wanted to see if they can review the info differently, as when they get a degree evaluation, it'll show all the classes for that degree. Did you check and review your transcript info to see what shows?

Yes, I reviewed the transcript. It shows the 'Current Program', which is an ASNSM that I am no longer pursuing. Next up is the conferred degrees with their conferral date, then all the transfer credits, and lastly the Institutional credits from TESU. That's why I was curious, I assumed there wasn't a per-degree transcript because that would be more work. Since the transcript shows all the credits you've earned, a per-degree version would only really be relevant when you're building your course load/planning credits so you can see what belongs where.
