TESU - What To Do With Evaluation Issue?

Yes - that's the right email. Do not call and do not mention what happened on the call in the email. Just request they put them in the areas you with them to. They will reply within a day or so telling you they did it. And when you check your eval, you'll be ok.
I did this about 4 times and got everything where I wanted it.

SOS-303 is classified at TESU as an applied (skills based) course in Criminal Justice and not a theoretical course. Theory based courses are required for the Electives section in your Area of Study. SOS-303 can't be moved to the AOS.

Unfortunately, it does make sense. It also explains why it counted for area of study for an AAS (Assoc in Applied Science), but not a BA.

Not to hijack the topic, but am just wondering why emailing advising vs. calling advising would make a difference? That Andrea Mirsky person who sent the OP's email is one of the advisors I spoke with when I called (with an appointment to speak to an advisor)... so are there benefits --besides getting proof in writing-- that would make it matter one way or another?

Sometimes calling refers more to the expressline. When you call the expressline without an appointment the responses seem to vary. Sometimes with e-mail it gives advising the opportunity to look into the question, check with registrars office, or spend a little more time answering the question. As far as calling advising to ask questions, setting up an appointment with a designated advisor ahead of time seems to work well, especially if the advisor is knowledgeable of the particular degree/area of study. I think it may vary depending on the question. Some questions/requests might have to be put in writing, TESU will sometimes require it. Changes to degree programs, preapproving courses and moving courses around on an academic evaluation may have to be put into writing, though sometimes advisors will make changes without the request being in writing.

Whenever I have emailed a question in, it actually gets answered by a person in the Business Department (I'm getting my BSBA). The questions get sent to the correct department, where the decisions are ultimately made. If you call, you're just talking to a random person who may or may not have a clue about your degree, the requirements, etc. Also, I don't think anyone can be held to account if they answer you incorrectly. BUT, if you get something in writing from someone in your department, THAT holds weight.

Sometimes it doesn't make a difference, sometimes it does. I've just always found writing works consistently. In the case of people on the forum, it helped mostly because we were able to READ the advisor's response and interpret it properly. The OP told us the explanation he got on the phone (and on email) made no sense, but when we got to read it, it did.
