HUGE Question about TESU Academic Evaluations...
#21
I don't think anything HUGE happened, I just think TESU only did 1 transcript so far, and they will finish the remaining one when they get to it. I'm just not seeing the issue at this point - they haven't evaluated those credits yet. They will, and they will show up on your eval, and then you can work with them to make any needed changes.

I'm not sure why you're so upset, since nothing has happened yet. They did not reject your credits, they haven't been gone through yet. This is completely normal. They did nothing wrong.

Not sure what more any of us can say, but I would not let this ruin my weekend, I would just move on and call on Monday to discuss this. Nothing else can be done anyway, so getting mad won't change anything.

Good luck with a full eval.

Yeah, they send an 'evaluation complete' email after EACH transcript. CLEP, DSST, ACE, each individual college. They did it for me, I received five different emails telling me it was complete when they finished each transcript, but before it was actually finished. I'd get excited, login, see everything from one transcript, and one or two from another with most of them not showing yet because they hadn't made it to them. Give it a bit. 105 credits takes awhile to go through, they need to confirm dates and their own equivalencies for each one, especially with all the recent changes.

So I sent TESU around Mar. 29th 105 credits, 9 credits from CLEP and 96 credits from ACE that were mostly Straighterline and Penn Foster. It's possible that they have not done a complete evaluation for each source. TESU is pretty slow about doing evals.

I go to check my academic evaluation and they only applied 12 credits to the BSBA degree plan? When they do an evaluation, all credits (105) are placed. Some are placed in the "not used" category, so that's what you're looking for. Once all 105 appear in a category, you can talk to them about why such and such might have landed in the "not used" section.

Now first a little background. I completed a lot of my straighterline credits in 2010, a few clep credits in 2007, and the rest this year. [COLOR="#0000FF"]Most credits don't expire- not an issue from 2007.

Any reason WHY TESU wouldn't transfer more of my credits and apply them to degree plan??? TESC will assess all 105 of your credits and you'll be able to tell if/why they wouldn't be applied. For instance, if you had 105 credits in math, you wouldn't get to use 105 credits in math because no degree distribution allows it. Once they are all assessed, you'll see where they fall and can go forward.

I read that previous posters, TESU had accepted credit that was over 20 years old? Yes, for sure.

I'm seriously pissed right now and considering applying at COSC since it seems TESU doesn't want to take a majority of my credits. TESU will take all of your credits and evaluate them. If I'm misunderstanding and your credits were placed in the not used section, we can look at them and figure out why "those" credits may not have counted. Sometimes it's a clerical error, sometimes it's overflows have been filled, sometimes they actually don't count (rare) but if that's the case, there is a reason. For instance, if you took a PF course that wasn't ACE evaluated, those wouldn't count.

I'm wondering if whoever did the evaluation even knows what the hell is going on with academic evaluations. I've never heard of any other student on this forum completing credits thru the same methods I've used and being denied that many transfer credits not being applied to the PLAN. [COLOR="#0000FF"]I don't think your academic evaluation has been done yet.

I was depending on this transfer of credits for a job promotion, without this degree, I'm screwed. :reddevil: Too soon to say you're screwed. If it makes you feel better, you could send them an email and ask when they expect all of your credits to be reviewed- but in the meantime, keep working on the credits you need so no time is lost.

Follow up when your eval is done, and maybe people can help you a bit more.

Any update? I hope TESU resolved this for you.
