I have a couple of questions about tesc. This is my plan:
Plan
1. I read that tesc does not give UL credit for CC classes. Does that mean that TESC will not give me UL credit for Calc3, Linear Algebra, and Differerential Equations if I take them at my local CC, but WILL give me UL credit for the SAME classes if I take them at LSU?
2 Do I have to take a capstone for each major, or is it just one to graduate?
3 On the Computer Science major I'm missing 3 UL credits to complete the requirements. Can I use a captone towards it? 27 Credits + 3 for the Capstone? or does it have to be 30 + 3?

I cant answer all the questions... but for the first one... yes, as silly as it sounds, if you take those at your CC they will transfer in as 100/200s, but if taken from LSU they should transfer in as whatever number they were given at LSU.

For question 2, I'm not sure what you are asking. I believe TESC has kind of a double major degree with the BA in Natural Science & Mathematics (or maybe it is History & Mathematics) and in that case it is just one capstone. However, if you are earning two separate degrees then I believe you'll need to do two capstones (can someone confirm this?).
For question 3, I believe the CS degree only requires 18 UL credits. However the Capstone does count as 3 upper level credits, so it is 15 UL plus 3 UL for the Capstone.

The LSU course will transfer in as what TESC considers it to be. Even if the LSU course is LL, TESC will count it as UL if it is similar to an UL course in their catalog or PLA database. The opposite is also true.
Giving UL credit for CC courses was the crazy thing TESC did. They are now in line with the other 2 of the Big 3 and probably most other colleges.
To the OP: Are you double majoring? The natural science and mathematics program is not a double major; it's an interdisciplinary degree like social science. A double major would be taking the 30 or so major credits for one degree and the 30 or so credits for another degree while sharing the general education and free elective courses between them. TESC will only let you do this with majors from the same department. For example, you can double major in humanities and psychology, but you can't double major in computer science and business. I don't know if you can share the capstone for a double major; my guess is yes depending on the programs chosen since the capstone is usually the same for all degrees within a department or school. The BA programs have the liberal arts capstone, the BSBAs have no capstone, the BSASTs have current trends and applications, and the BS programs usually have capstones specific to the major. You can't share a capstone between bachelors and associates programs.

I'm sorry I wasen't clear, yes I'm trying to double major. I'm trying to mix
Thomas Edison State College: Computer Science and
Thomas Edison State College: Mathematics. 30 credits for CS and 30 credits for Math both with 18 UL credits, 36 UL credits total.
