Took US History 1865 to present today
#1
I was very dissapointed in the subjective nature of many of the test questions. Once I figured out the probable left-leaning nature of the test writer I did a little better. Yes, I passed with a 61, but as much as I love history, if this is an example of what's being taught in college today, I probably would hate it.

I agree. I really like history and that test was different. It wasn't hard to pass, but it almost seemed pointed. I can only imagine the "history" that is being taught in schools. US History 1 was better from what I remember, if you haven't taken that one yet.

Yeah, I know. US History II was frustrating for me too. I scored okay but remember feeling really discouraged while taking the test. Good little me--I had been naively studying stuff like World War I and World War II and stuff. And there was almost nothing about that....but there was a TON about civil rights, women's rights, social issues, etc. I mean, I know that was a part of history too and I don't mind covering it but I thought the content was pretty unbalanced.
