Yes, rachel is right. But I think I will get three random Sophia courses just to get to 60 credits so I can get admitted and only do Calculus now. If they're so easy compared to the others as sst20s says, then few more courses on top of the existing ones shouldn't be too hard anyway. Do you guys agree, do you think that it would be feasible to do the UMPI courses which are divided in 4 sessions here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1...edit#gid=0 in 3 sessions instead of 4 that I planned initially (calc would be out of the way)?

I think that's a good idea. Maybe even take an extra course or two at Sophia, as a buffer, just in case.
I would also think that 2 or 3 sessions isn't out of the realm of possibility, especially since you'll have Calculus out of the way, but it depends on which courses are available when.

There's 1 paper for each course. Very short course content. I transferred Eng Comp 1 from a community college from last century. I spent 90+ days on Eng Comp 2 on Sophia and was failing it because the grading is horrible. I dropped it and completed it in 3 days at UMPI. 3 days for the course content, writing the rough draft, submitting the rough draft, and having my rough draft approved. 3 days. GEC is 40 credits - can't get all of it unless they've completed a studio art class elsewhere, but can come really close. And the 20ish general electives. There's 60. Plus Intro to Business, BLaw 1, Ops Man, Econ, Org Comm. Can definitely get more than 60 ACE credits to transfer in no problem without touching any of the accounting courses for the BA in Accounting. I still sat to take Eng Comp @ UMPI. It's. just an easy course and an easy way to get an A which everyone's GPA can use.

By studio art, do you mean GEC 2D? Humanities 201: Critical Thinking & Analysis at SDC comes in as HUM-103 if you want to skip that requirement at UMPI.

HUM 201: Critical Thinking & Analysis has 86 lessons/quizzes, and then 3 written assignments (2 1500-word essays and 1 2500-word essay). I think the UMPI course is less work than that.

I think it's not worth it to do these courses somewhere else, so I'll do them at UMPI and only do Calculus now. Hopefully 7 courses/session will be doable. Thank you all!

I think atmoex isn't sure (because of prereqs and not all courses in each sesson) if they'll be able to do 7 courses per session.

Every course isn't offered every session so that has an impact on the order courses are completed. Some classes have super easy Final Assessments. Others take a long time. Now we have professors from other U of M campuses and they have been much pickier in my experience. They've sent things back over and over. This year is definitely different than last year! |
