Anyone ever done the graduate certificate in Special Education?
https://www.umpi.edu/yourpace/academic_p...grad-cert/
I don't see any information about it. It doesn't even seem like there is a way to apply for it. If you click apply to only gives the options for masters degrees.
Any information on this program anyone has would be appreciated. I don't think anyones ever done it before.
Thanks

If you scroll down to View Course Catalog you see the courses required with descriptions. Because it's not a degree you don't apply the same way. A quick look at the UMPI YourPace website and I see this:

It's interesting they have this, I wonder if prospective students doing the BLS Education Studies Minor (21 credits) can just take these SPED classes of 12 credits to finish off the BLS. This gives the student 33 credits for residency purposes, the rest can come in from the general education and electives to get the student up to 120+ credits to finish.

Great find, natshar!
Given that there are four, graduate-level courses for this certificate, I'll go out on a limb and guess that most folks who are employed full-time could finish this in 2-4 terms (unless you've got crazy amounts of free time). That'd come out to $4,900 - $9,800. The lower end of that spectrum isn't a bad price, but I'd be curious to know how long students take on average.
I'll definitely be bookmarking this but will now be on the look-out for comparable programs too. If you know of anything similar (whether in US or abroad), please do let us know!

You need a bachelor's degree to enter the program according to the website. I believe it's a fairly new program so there may not be many people aware of it. It would be interesting to see if undergrads could take the courses and use them as UL electives.
