Really depends on you: your interests and your preferred learning methods.

I'm doing grad school at EIU. Several people have done or are doing WGU. Another frequent poster is about to finish up at Amberton. A few people have done UMPI's MAOL. Someone else did a state school in Oklahoma. I think someone else did Fort Hays. Et cetera.

What degree are you interested in? Eight week sessions or full semesters? CBE or not?

Which master's degree do you want? Timeline? CBE? 7-10 week terms? Full semesters? Price?

With the right grades and money you can get a master's degree from pretty much anywhere. What do you want to do? What is the purpose of the degree?

Hi,

Thank you All!

I have not decided on which Masters degree yet.

What I am trying to figure out is if UMPI and good grades,
will give you a chance to be accepted at many different schools!

It seems like the answer is YES!!!

I appreciate the Answers!!!

I've already attended 2 different universities for grad school and am graduating with my MBA next month. The options are pretty much endless is you have the right grades. And if you have a huge checkbook you really can go anywhere.

UMPI (among other institutions we mention on the board, such as TESU, WGU, UMASS) should work for a majority of graduate institutions as UMPI is a public/state university, not a for-profit institution. It really depends where you want to end up at the graduate level and the degree you're looking for. If you don't have any idea yet, then you can review the graduate section to see what's available and compare to institutions within your state of NJ.

Ok
Thank you for that!

I understand now.
I was thinking since there might be many ACE or NCCR credits in the degree mix,
that it might affect eligibility at some universities.

There's basically 2 or 3 places where you might run into issues with alt credit:
1. For grad school admissions that require specific pre-requisites with grades. Or that calculate your GPA for admission purposes based on your last 60 graded credits and you don't have 60 graded credits. In my experience, most programs don't get that specific and just use the GPA or major GPA from the degree awarding school.
2. & 3. Professional licensure/Professional association cert that require coursework from pre-approved programs/providers. But you're likely going to run into that if you didn't go to a school with a program specifically offering a pathway to be a professional engineer/CPA/actuary/etc. anyway.

Thank You!!
