No because it's not Introduction to Sociology. That's one of the courses that fulfills a learning objective on the GEC. Yes you need multiple math courses. Take them on Sophia. They're very easy on Sophia. Contemporary Math sounds like a remedial math course or a bare bones basic math course. That is not what's required for the GEC. College Algebra and Stats are on the GEC list. The math goes higher into calc as well.

Update: Oh forgot, they accept ACE, so you don't really need to just take Sophia.org, you can take Study.com courses as well for example.
Actually, none of us who I know are attending UMPI recommend Study or StraighterLien courses. They're MUCH easier and SHORTER at UMPI. A great deal less content and fewer papers and quizzes.

"Contemporary Math sounds like a remedial math course or a bare bones basic math course." -- HA! Very likely the case given my math history, but I feel hopeful and will go after those Sophia ones! Thanks for all this advice! I feel like I have a good plan now! Really truly appreciate your time today.

Because you already have a BA, you're exempt from the GEC (UMPI's gen eds). I would just apply and start my degree there without taking anything anywhere else. You'll still need to complete 30 credits at UMPI. Feel free to send me a pm if you have any questions or need to know where to look for info on their website.

Two questions:
- Are the classes 3 credits each? So that would be 10 courses, correct?
- Probably too much to ask, but, if one has a BA dies that mean only 30 credits are required? Or, it depends?
TIA

The reason I mentioned other ACE providers is because, even if you transfer in all the Sophia.org courses, it may not cover all the areas or requirements to hit the full 90 credits. You can transfer in an unlimited amount or number, but if it doesn't fit into the degree plan they offer, you'll most likely need more credits elsewhere cheap - hence, I advised about Study.com for example. I don't recall if they take NCCRS, but I'll refrain from too many providers.

Yes all classes are 3 credits which is 10 classes. No if you have a BA it does not mean that only 30 credits are required. You are waived from the GEC (UMPI's gen eds). You still need to complete the major requirements and several are more than 30 credits. You're required to complete the required number of UL courses for the degree program. Most of them must be completed at UMPI.

They do not accept NCCRS. Only ACE, CLEP, DANTES/DSST, and AP.

One thing I want to express, after Sophia, Straighterline and Study.com are most definitely not cost effective ways to fill missing credits for the GEC requirements. The cost of a monthly membership at Study.com or Straighterline (and a class) is roughly the same of just going to UMPI and paying the monthly fee. After financial aid my monthly fee is only $200. And I'm going to be debt-free by May of this year. From what I can see about their courses etc, I believe it takes longer to do InstantCert, Study.com, or Straighterline. I tried doing Instant Cert's managerial accounting for example, but the amount of content compared to UMPI drastically different, UMPI's took me 3 days, after 2 months of InstantCert's I gave up on it and moved on.
If I did Study.com etc, I would've spent easily an extra $1000+ for a degree.
Because I did UMPI, my total cost is less then 3 grand. UMPI's two terms cost me $2800. I was given Sophia.org free. I was granted $1600 financial aid. This means I only owed $2k. I don't have to pay the other 1.6k financial aid back for 20 years.
