University of Phoenix to offer Competency Based Degrees

Only time will tell, it's a good way to get the bulk of the credits completed and finish off the degree when the acquisition and name changes... That technically gets you the credits with the current pricing scheme, once the acquisition completes and name change (if it does change fast enough) happens, graduating from the program would be just a course or two, such as maybe a capstone left to do or something along those lines... I really want to see it be non-profit and renamed to something better, the need to get rid of that previous baggage.

Yes. It will be interesting. If they keep their prices the same and transition it to a non profit. Although a-lot lies in a name. Rebranding it Four Three Education will not help it. What’s up with these names ?? IMO leaving it called  University of Phoenix 
Would be less hurtful. If they have to change the name how bout something like “The University of Phoenix”
