Walden Tempo Fees Going Up
#1
Dear Walden Community,

Each year, Walden University carefully reviews our educational offerings and tuition with a focus on investing in resources to help you succeed. Today, we are announcing 2026 tuition and fees, which will take effect on March 2, 2026, for Tempo Learning programs.

You can view a full breakdown of your program costs in the Walden Student Handbook

2026 Tuition & Fees for Tempo Learning Programs

Tuition and fees are determined using a rigorous process. Walden aims to keep education in reach while adjusting for increased costs to the University. When evaluating program needs, we are careful to invest in educational resources, innovations and partnerships that strengthen our education programs and support student success.

  • Tuition for Tempo Learning undergraduate and master’s degree programs will increase between 0% to 5% depending on the program and its assessed needs.
  • Program fees will increase 3%.

That's a lot more than the 5% they mentioned in the email.

Is it OK if I private message you about your experience? Unless you want to post about it publicly -- I would read that, too.

Wow, you did that in one session! Congrats on getting the MS Psych in 50 days, that was awesome! You have great time management and persistence working towards that goal. Great stuff!

Those looking at Walden, they'll be bumping that MS in Early Childhood Studies to $3,000 from $2,450/3 month subscription. It is a lot more than the 5% they mentioned, I guess the 5% was for the non tempo learning option...

Seems like a lot of B&M are also increasing tuition. Both my state school. community college and flagship schools are increasing tuition as our BoE just had a meeting for all NSHEs schools to raise tuition due to increase of enrollment. Kind of a bummer lol

But check the Walden NAEYC partnership page for current discounts for NAEYC members. NAEYC membership is $72 per year, and a $72 member can attach additional memberships for $22 each.
