ShotoJuku Wrote:Last year at this time I was all bummed out that I was not going to be able to walk as I missed the last required submission time by around a month so EC said come next year.

So here it is a year later and not only did I complete my B.S. within the EC Class of 2006, but also my M.S. with the CCU Class of 2007.

Somehow I don't think the EC walk would be the same....Rolleyes

Congrats though to the EC Class of 2007 and keep those skirts flying high!!! Big Grin

Anyone have any idea about how many grads receive honors with their degrees? Those stats around anywhere on the Excelsior website? I didn't not 'that' many walking by the camera...

Well, a short time ago I finished watching the last part of the Excelsior commencement ceremony, and I have to say I was surprised by how emotional I got! :o There was just something about hearing Pomp & Circumstance and watching all of the graduates file out that really got to me, probably because I could have participated in the ceremony myself if I'd really wanted to go. Now I wish I had!! Rolleyes

Anyway, watching the ceremony made me very proud to be a graduate of the Excelsior College Class of 2007, and it was also wonderful to see firsthand just how many "older" graduates there were! Another thing I loved seeing were all the flags representing all of the different countries that this year's graduates come from...that was cool.

After watching the ceremony, I would encourage all future graduates to try to attend their ceremony if at all possible...I have a feeling you won't be disappointed! Wink

Good luck to everyone working towards their degree...you CAN do it!

JoAnne - You had me convinced that you were going to attend so I watched the whole thing guessing the entire time if you were up on the stage. Alas at no time did I hear the name - "JoAnne G." called so I started thinking you may go under an alias.

Then I thought that the only way to be sure was to watch for whoever lifted their skirt up over their head and I would know for sure as well. Alas no one did that either; damn!

Congrats nevertheless to all of my fellow EC Alumni for graduating today on stage or at the mailbox like so many of us have!!
