TESC Degree Plan Needed for 2nd degree after Homeland Security
#1
Hello Good People,

I need all of you oracle to help me out.

I'm currently at 96 credits for a degree in Homeland Security. As I prep to register for the Comprehensive, 36 credits per yr tuition plan, I'd like to gain all 36 credits. This would leave me with 12 extra credits from TESC

Also, I intend to take Penn Foster's Music Appreciation Course as well as Straighterline's new offerings (US History II, Western Civilization II, Business Ethics & Organizational Behavior) totaling 15 credits.

In 12 months if all goes as planned, I'll have complete the 24 credits for the BSBA in Homeland Security and have 27 credits to spare(12 from TESC & 15 from Penn Foster/Straighterline).

Which 2nd degree might I be in reach for with those extra 27 credits? Also, what extra courses should I take at TESC?

Help me out.

Thanx in advance.

Someone that has completed a second degree will chime in with the specifics, but you have to be careful as you cannot take credits towards a second degree until the first one is conferred.
BA in Natural Sciences/Mathematics, 2013 - TESC - Arnold Fletcher Award
AAS in Applied Computer Studies, 2013 - TESC
116 B&M Credits
32 FEMA Credits
9 ALEKS Credits - Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Trigonometry
9 Straighterline Credits - Business Communication, Microeconomics, English Composition II
6 TESC Credits - Global Environmental Change
3 DSST Credits - Environment and Humanity

Yes you will have a problem with that plan because you have to start all credits for a second degree only after the first degree is conerred. For example I just put in for graduation before the Oct. 1 cutoff, my degree will not be conferred until ~Dec 12, so if I want to earn credits toward another degree I can not start those credits until after Dec 12. That might make your plan difficult. Also your second BA must be in a different area of study and you will need (I think) 24 new credits in that area of study with 18 (I think) being upper level. You might want to recalculate if the comprehensive plan is your best bet with these restrictions
