Would two associate degrees a few months apart look suspect or "degree millish"? My daughter has completed the requirements for an Associate in Science in Business Administration from TESC plus an additional 12 hours. I plugged those additional 12 hours into the Associate in Arts degree plan & it appears to me she could get that one too at this point (actually she would need to take Technical Writing since both of her Humanities are the same type but other than that it appears to work). For the sake of my question let's go on the premise that she does not go on to a BS but stops with the Associate, although she is young so there is room for a BS later if she chooses. Is it better to have an ASBA that basically indicates the attainment of the education and knowledge level of that degree, period, or is it better to have an ASBA degree plus an Associate in Arts degree since the additional AA degree is available and the work done but are only a few months apart? Lastly, should she ever want to move on to a BA or BS degree but maybe from a B&M college would the AA degree be more transferable as an indication of having the basics of the first two years completed?
A lot here I know. Thanks for listing.
Any thoughts anyone?

This is possible with traditional colleges, too, so I don't see the problem.
By the way, I wonder why so many people are concerned about the spacing of their dates of graduation. Nobody really has to know, but even if they did, why would anyone care? I just don't get the worry.

I earned an AA in General Studies at my state university. I list it on my resume to have brand recognition and a B & M presence on my resume... even though I hate the school. :ack:

I'm with you Maniac Craniac. Why would someone really care if someone had a few spaced abit apart? I have been to B&M schools and some people just happen to have the several degrees they are woking on jell at the sametime. Not a big deal.

I suppose it is not a big deal to have two closely spaced together - but I didn't know & needed a broader perspective. Which is why I asked you guys.

Thanks for your input. It means a lot!
