YourPace- what does “no minimum gpa” mean?
#1
This may be a really basic/dumb question, I was just curious what that means. I have previous traditional college I will be transferring over. I have one D. Does their working me I can be accepted despite the D, or will the the D transfer over for credit? I know YP operates a little differently, so I wanted to ask!

The minimum GPA is the GPA for classes taken through UMPI itself. The D doesn't matter, except that it won't transfer to UMPI.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA

Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG

Thank you. The placement and wording on the site made me think it was related to application admittance. This also lets me know what class I need to retake on Sophia Smile

I think they transfer everything you've got but place the D grade course outside of the degree plan, it'll most likely show on file for their records, but not placed into the degree as fulfilling requirements of the degree in question... It shouldn't matter anyways, there is no minimum gpa for applications, meaning, it's not a very selective program.

UMPI has a favorable track record when it comes to credits transferring in. We accept transfer credits from colleges and universities that are regionally accredited. You must have received a C- or better in a course for it to transfer. Courses may transfer equally for UMPI courses or may come in as elective credit.

How do my credits count? UMPI (not YourPace) Link: https://www.umpi.edu/admissions/transfer-students/

Thank you!, I wish they had a separate spot for the YP program! I appreciate the info.
I’m taking generals through Sophia, and plan to transfer into to UMPI YourPace in May for the BA of business admin with accounting concentration. I have 15 years of accounting support (payroll/bookkeeping) experience. I did not take college seriously when I went in 1993, and am basically staring over.

A D will not transfer to UMPI. It will show up on your transfer credit report as REJECTED. There is 0 transfer credits for D and F. Withdrawn courses are also rejected for obvious reasons. Hey I started college in 1993. I tried to take it seriously but I had major issues at home.
