Croc - WOW, a wealth of information here. I pretty much agree with everything that you have stated and it all seems very doable. You pretty much hit on my plan of following a secondary BA/BS while completing my RN courses. I had no intentions of enrolling until I have completed all gen ed and the first 2 nursing courses.
Please correct me if I am wrong, but EC is the only program that I am aware of that offers the independent RN with only very minimal practical/classroom/structured course work. Please let me know If there are others to evaluate.
"Lifespan development: 3 Credits. This is an easy enough CLEP with a little study and instacert. $100". I believe that I read where I may substitute Human Growth and Development CLEP for this 3 credit exam, as I understand Life Span to actually be an EC exam. Any thoughts?
Anatomy and Physiology: 4 Credits. I noticed where the Strighterline website stated "coming soon". If that is starting in the early part of 2011 then I will most definitely go that route.
"Microbiology: 3 Credits. There are some online courses that you can take for microbiology". Do you have a couple websites so I check on this option.
Thank you to you and all the others for contributing their thoughts and ideas. It has been amazing how eye opening, educational, and extremely friendly this website has been. I look forward to learning more in the future as well as trying to help wherever I can.
