aleks assessement?

I was told that when you take the assessment the first time an you don't pass that if you take it again no matter how good you do it will only go up a few % points , and if I want to see real progress and be done insted of moving 3% each time I make a new account. And start fresh..... is this true because it would save me so much time and effort.
