Is this the link that you use after you login?
https://www.excelsior.edu/Excelsior_Coll...rse_Search

I can't see any courses from other colleges, did I use the wrong search link?

after I type finance, I get the following list.
Joe,
Liberty University, MBA in Accounting (2012)
Excelsior BS - General Business (2009)
CPCU Designation (2010)

Thanks so much for the screen capture. The ability to perform that search is very helpful. I just wish I knew how I could recreate it myself.

Can you please do a capture of the search screen where you use the 'finance' parameter? Can you think of any other thing I could be doing differently that would limit my results to just Excelsior's courses?

Can you please show me the web link that you use for the search after you login? Is it the same link as I used?

I wonder if it's because you are an enrolled student there, which may give you a more advanced search capability.

after I logged into MyEC I clicked on Courses on the very top/center of the page.

Next, I clicked on "Course Search" on left side of the page. It's the second link under the Course Offerings image on left. The top link is "Complete Undergraduate Course Listing" and the "Course Search" is under that one.

On the next page, I selected the following:

Keyword Search: finance
Options: selected All radio button
Course Level: selected All
Sort Results By: selected Title

then I press the Search button. That's how I got the list.

Once you are logged in, you will see additional features like Remaining Requirements and it will show what courses you have left. For example, if it says you have "Financial Management" left, you would select that course and press search, and it will show you a list of schools to include Excelsior that offer the course that would accept the credit. Keep in mind, I can't do that search, because I already completed the degree, so it doesn't show me that option.

Thanks Joe, that's what I did as well but results were different. It's probably because you were a student before. I'm going to PM you. Can you please check your private messages?

perrik Wrote:If you register on Excelsior's site (for free, no commitment to enroll), you can perform a course search. For enrolled students with a declared major, it points out courses you can take to meet your remaining major requirements. Or you can just search by keywords. The search is not limited to EC's own courses/exams - it checks the offerings from other institutions which offer distance learning options.

Hi everybody. I don't think you will get results for other schools unless you are enrolled. Having a free login only returns Excelsior classes.

Mystery solved! I wonder if I'll still see non-Excelsior courses after my status changes from student to alumni?

Then again, there's no need to rely on the Excelsior course suggestions if you can find suitable courses on your own. Any residency-required college that offers a distance-learning BSBA is likely to offer the right classes for a finance concentration, and many allow individuals to register for classes as non-degree-seeking students. You can also check your local colleges for suitable classes, if you don't mind actually getting dressed for class. :p

That must be it. Was driving me nuts! Thanks.

Do you think the securities and investments at Penn Foster would satisfy the Securities Analysis requirements at EC?

I tried ascertaining whether it was upper or lower level credits from someone at Penn Foster whom had no idea.
